Caught My Eye is the name of my new series. It’ll be a weekly round-up of things that captured my attention during the week.
Life Sized Hot Wheels Double Loop | I watched quite a bit of X-Games 2012 last weekend with my son. We were enamored by all the crazy stuff people did on skateboards, bikes and motorbikes. One of the coolest things was this stunt recreating a Hot Wheels toy that a couple guys pulled off flawlessly.
FLIP Ship | This innovative research vessel, the RP FLIP, which stands for FLoating Instrument Platform, made the news because it’s celebrating it’s 50th year. I had no idea a ship like this existed. You simply must see what this ship can do.
BioLite CampStove | I believe we are on the brink of technology truly becoming integrated with outdoor activities. The BioLite is a great indication of what is possible. This is a camping stove that burns kindling and small sticks to both cook your food efficiently and charge your USB powered devices. Yep, seriously. Cool as heck.
New Chuck E. Cheese | This a little weird. Perhaps the head honchos at this pizza and games restaurant chain watched the Ratatouille and Stuart Little movies a couple too many times. The mascot for the pizza place underwent a drastic change. I’m not sure I like it. Weird I tell ya. Weirder than a mouse as a mascot for a restaurant.
